Well... okaaay then!

I met with the most wonderful radio-oncologist today, he spent 1.5 hours with me going through everything and figuring out the best approach to my situation. An absolute angel.

See, my pelvis is broken from tumors (see bottom arrow) and the rest is about to follow unless we do something:

This scan is from August 23rd, so another one is needed to see what things look like now since the pain has increased quite a bit lately. It's now robbing me of sleep, the bugger. We're looking at five straight days of radiation treatments + a strong corticosteroid to try and manage the pain - not like I'm taking enough pills as it is... <sarcasm>

I'll need to stop chemo before, during and for a bit after as well, cuz mixing all the treatments together is a recipe for puking disaster, non merci lol.

So that's the medical news... it's gonna get bumpy for a while before it gets better.

Writing about it helps me cope mentally and emotionally, I need to focus on what I can do and not on what I cannot do anymore. I can pick up reading again, art, puzzles, I can still be useful to help others in ways that I wasn't able to before. It's all good.

Ending this post with a smile:

If ever you're in Quebec city and want a super tasty meal in a funky gorgeous restaurant, try Le Commandant - you will thank me! Teehee! IN MY BELLEH!
